All About Fae

Who in the world is Fae?!?!?!

Well, obviously this is my blog, so that's me. But really, who am I?

Fae isn't my real name. Fae was taken from an online persona of mine. More specifically, I have a toon named Faestia on World of Warcraft and everyone I know on there started calling me Fae. It doesn't matter what the name of the toon I am on, everyone knows me by and calls me Fae. My daughter, fiance, and some close friends call me Fae in real life sometimes, so I decided to use it for my blog.

Well, first off I'm a 39 year old stay at home mom. I love my children with all my heart, even when they have stomped on my very last nerve and I want to scream. Next, I'm engaged to my best friend. He's wonderful and really supports me in every thing I do in life. 

I was born and raised in the Metro Atlanta area (shout out to the south side!!), and I feel blessed to come up in such a culturally diverse place. I was able to experience a lot of different things and gain an certain amount of respect for many different things, and people, in this world. In 1994 I moved to Wyoming and haven't been able to leave since. While I appreciate all the things I was able to be a part of and experience when I was growing up, I definitely think this is a great place for a family. My children don't have to deal with the negative things I was exposed to growing up and they have the Big Horn Mountain Range right in their back yard.

So this blog is about your favorite things, what exactly do you like??

What I love the absolute most is my family and my friends. I'll probably do a fair amount of posts that involve them in some way, shape, or form. They play a part in every aspect of my life and I wouldn't be who I am without them.

I have a lot of hobbies and I love each of them equally. I really enjoy gaming and World of Warcraft is my absolute favorite thing to play. You can also find me making bracelets on a Rainbow Loom, reading or watching tv.

I really dig gardening, so I spend a fair amount of time taking care of my flowers and plants. 

I do graphic design so I spend a fair amount of time playing in Paint Shop Pro. I also love photography, so I take a lot of pics and spend some time editing in Photo Shop. 

I also love cooking, so I cook almost every night. Growing up in the south plays a big part in what I like to cook. I make a lot of good southern "soul" food. With that, I make a lot of Cajun food. I think I must have lived in the bayou in a past life because cooking Cajun food is just second nature to me. I'm also a big fan of Mexican food, so I cook a lot of Jalisco style food.

Last, but not least, on my list of things I love (for right now) is saving money. I LOVE LOVE LOVE saving money. I love spending money too of course. I am a huge believer in not spending any money you don't HAVE to spend on regular expenses like groceries and gasoline. Then you can start a cushion for those times when you aren't doing so well financially, or an unexpected expense comes up. I do a little couponing, but I mostly shop sales at my favorite grocer and I am able to get a lot more bang for my buck.
